A longer acquisition time high-speed camera model with Bernoulli compressing imaging

Reporter: Wang B.

High-speed cameras have been widely used in aerodynamics, fuild mechanics, and explode mechanics research areas to record fast physics or chemical phenomena. However, due to the limited capacity of camera memory, a high resolution and long time video can not be recorded. To solve this problem, we proposed a simple and easy hardware implement method named as Bernoulli compressing imaging (BCI). It compresses image in image sampling. With a same capacity memory and keeping image resolution unchanged, BCI can increase the number of captured frames at least 10 times.
