Numerical modeling of detonation flows in axisymmetric gas-particle mixtures

The problem of heterogeneous detonation propagation in a circular tube and its exit into an open half-space is investigated numerically on the model of monodisperse and bidisperse suspensions of aluminum particles in oxygen. The purpose of this study is to obtain and analyze the criteria of heterogeneous detonation failure and propagation for different dispersion of particles, including polydisperse suspensions.
