The excursion IMPERIAL VIENNA is included in the package of the registration fee.
Excursions VIENNA WOODS, Lights of Night Vienna, guided tours to Salzburg, Budapest and Danube Valley will be offered to the participants optionally.

IMPERIAL VIENNA City tour

We invite you to experience the cultural treasures of this elegant city renowned for its rich musical heritage. This excursion will acquaint visitors with the most significant monuments of history and architecture of different eras and styles. Guests will see the area ensembles and impressive church Karlskirche Fotifkirhe, luxury building on the famous Ringstrasse, Vienna State Opera building, the Parliament and the Town Hall building - twin Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Museum of Natural History, Drama Theater Building, University of Vienna. The guests will visit the architectural masterpiece, Hundertwasser House, the monuments to Mozart, Beethoven and the King of waltz – Strauss, the territory of the palace complex of the Belvedere. During the tour you will enjoy the Prater amusement park with the oldest in Europe Ferris wheel. The program includes acquaintance with the summer residence of the Habsburgs – Schönbrunn Palace Museum, it is closely associated with the names of the great representatives of the Habsburg dynasty: Maria Theresa, Franz Josef and his beautiful wife, legendary Sissy. A little walk in the park in the baroque style after visiting the palace will bring you the romantic spirit.

VIENNA WOODS
This half-day excursion will take you to the most beautiful parts of the Vienna Woods. Starting at the Roman City of Baden with its thermal springs you will pass the romantic valley Helenental on your way to the former Mayerling hunting lodge. The next stop is the medieval cloister of the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz which houses the remains of the last Babenberger. Driving by the Höldrichsmühle where Franz Schubert composed his song "The Lindentree", you arrive at the Seegrotte Hinterbrühl with the largest subterranean lake in Europe. On the way back to Vienna, you will pass the Liechtenstein Castle.
 
EXCURSION TO SALZBURG

On your way to Salzburg you will pass through the wonderful landscape of the Salzkammergut, with its beautiful lakes and impressive mountains, the area where Emperor Franz Joseph and his family used to spend their summer holidays. The trips takes you along Lake Traunsee, Lake Fuschl and Lake Wolfgang, where the memories of the Edelweiss-Song from the movie Sound of Music may come to your mind. Finally you arrive to Salzburg, the birth town of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. You will visit the most important sights of Salzburg: the Cathedral, the Festival Hall, St. Peter´s Abbey Church and its graveyards (tomb of Mozart´s sister Nannerl) as well as Mozart´s birthplace in the Getreidegasse. You will see the horse-pond and the marvelous gardens of Mirabell Palace and get a fantastic view of the Fortress.

EXCURSION TO BUDAPEST
On this one day trip to Budapest you will drive through the romantic countryside of Western Hungary. The two parts of the city, Buda and Pest are situated on opposite banks of the Danube river. You will get a chance to experience the cultural and historical richness of Budapest, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. In the early evening you will start the journey back to Vienna.






CASTLES AND MONASTERIES OF DANUBE VALLEY

The Danube Valley Day Trip from Vienna reveals the exquisite beauty of the Wachau Valley. You'll travel through gorgeous Austrian countryside and take a scenic boat ride down the Danube. The history and legends of this lovely part of Austria come to life as you wend your way past charming old villages, steep vineyards and mysterious castles. One such castle is the well-known Durnstein, where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned while waiting for his ransom to arrive from England. Then, you'll enjoy a boat ride down the Danube from Splitz to Melk, passing the heart of the Wachau Valley at the old wine town of Krems. To complete your superb day trip, you will visit Melk's magnificent Benedictine Abbey, a pearl of the Austrian Baroque style. During the trip, you can dine in one of the nicest restaurants of the valley of the Danube and will taste a wine that is produced in this area, in the wine cellars with thousands years of history.
