XXI International Conference on Chemical Reactors
"CHEMREACTOR-21"
September 22-25, 2014, Delft, The Netherlands

Invitation

 Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce XXI International Conference on Chemical Reactors "CHEMREACTOR-21" to be held on September 22-25, 2014 in Delft, The Netherlands. You are cordially invited to take part in the event.

Started as a small domestic event in 1960's the CHEMREACTOR has now turned into significant international conference that brings together hundreds of researchers and engineers from more than 30 countries all over the world. Traditionally, the CHEMREACTOR conference program covers fundamental aspects and practical application of catalytic processes and chemical reactors, as well as the development of new technologies.

CHEMREACTOR-21 will be devoted to the 100th anniversary of Professor Mikhail Slin'ko - the conference founder and an outstanding expert in the field of mathematical modeling of chemical processes and reactors.

Mikhail Slin’ko graduated from the Moscow State University in 1941 as an expert in theoretical physics. His future research dealt mainly with the creation of mathematical models of catalytic processes and chemical reactors. He also studied the theoretical basis of chemical technology, industrial catalysis, and kinetics of catalytic processes.

Professor Mikhail Slin’ko’s created scientific basis of large-scale transfer from research laboratory to industrial processes; developed and mastered the methods to obtain mathematical models of catalytic systems based on a balance between computing and physical experiments; opened regular and chaotic oscillations of the heterogeneous catalytic reactions; established the principles of non-linear dynamics of catalytic reactions, processes and reactors, which are the basis of the theory and practice of industrial catalysis. He studied dynamics of the emergence and development of instabilities, and, as a result, the formation of various types of structures; developed the spatio-temporal hierarchical approach for mathematical modeling of catalytic systems, starting from the molecular level. Scientific school in the field of mathematical modeling of catalytic reactions and processes created by Professor Mikhail Slin'ko gained worldwide fame and recognition.

Starting from 2008, the Conference International Scientific Committee has established the Honorary Slin’ko Lecture. The right to present this lecture is given to the world recognized experts in the field of chemical reaction engineering, who is traditionally selected by the members of the International Scientific Committee.

You are welcome to participate in CHEMREACTOR-21, the organizers look forward to perfect opportunity for attendees to present their newest research results and share the latest achievements in the field of the chemical technology with the colleagues. The event will provide a venue for the fruitful interaction and exchange of ideas.
