The global tendency towards more stringent clean fuel specifications, the refining industry's efforts at resolving this issue, the growing demand for transport fuels and the shift to diesel fuel has meant that hydrotreatment has become an increasingly important process of refining in recent years. Hydrotreating technologies are continuously associated with intensive research in development of advanced catalysts design for oil refining processes. Symposium program is traditionally devoted to  the development of new catalysts and processes for refining, as well as tendencies of the technological development of these sectors in the world. Previous events held in St. Petersburg (Russia) and Belgrade (Serbia) convincingly demonstrated the deep interest of participants in the achievements in these areas of science and technology.

The main objective of the forthcoming symposium is an analysis of trends in the development of advanced catalysts design for oil refining processes, exchange of opinions between scientific experts and representatives of industrial companies on the achievements in the development of new catalysts and their use, the elaboration of unified approaches to the introduction of innovative technologies in the industry.
