Abstract submission & Presentation


You are welcome to submit the abstracts (up to 2 pages) for oral or poster presentations in your Personal cabinet at the symposium website.

The event will be broadcasted live using the platform Zoom, and registered persons will be able to participate.

The Scientific Program will comprise plenary lectures (45 minutes), keynote lectures (30 minutes), oral presentations (15 minutes) and poster presentations.

For all oral presentations (and flash poster presentations as well), we recommend preparing a presentations in *.ppt format (Microsoft Power Point).

During the Symposium, when your time is right, please click "Raise Hand" in the Webinar Controls. The tech moderator will be notified that you've raised your hand, and allows you to talk, you may be prompted to unmute yourself. While unmuted, your profile picture and name is displayed to the host and panelists. Only your name is displayed to other attendees.

Notes:

  • Windows: You can also use the Alt+Y keyboard shortcut to raise or lower your hand.
  • Mac: You can also use the Option+Y keyboard shortcut to raise or lower your hand.

Use the "Share screen" option to start your presentation.

Open the PowerPoint file you want to present.

  1. Start or join a Zoom meeting.
  2. Click Share Screen in the meeting controls.
  3. Select your primary monitor then click Share.

 

The duration of the plenary lecture is 45 minutes, the keynote lecture is 30 minutes, the oral presentation is 15 minutes. Please plan your presentation in such a way as to have time to show the presentation and answer a few questions from the participants of the symposium.

We invite authors of poster presentations to prepare their reports in .pdf format and send them to the Symposium Secretariat before its start. Your presentation will be posted on the Symposium website. In addition, a Google Group "STS HydroCat_Poster Session" is created to discuss the Poster Session. Please note that you do not need to log in to read the discussions, but in order to take part in the discussions, you need to log in with your google account. If you have done this, please check how your name is displayed - change it to something that other participants can understand, for example, your name. 

Flash poster presentation

Authors of posters can prepare a short presentation and participate in Flash poster presentation during the Symposium. At the appointed time, you will have the opportunity to speak to the participants with a short report on your poster. Please note that flash presentation cannot last longer than 5 minutes. There will be no questions during the flash presentation. You can discuss the report in the Google Group "STS HydroCat_Poster Session".
