Animal bones in the medieval burials of the Perm Cis-Urals

ABSTRACT: The article presents a statistical analysis of the occurrence of animal bones in the medieval burials of the Perm Urals. For the Lomovatov culture, the rite is more characteristic. Mostly horse bones are found. Bones of cattle and small cattle, birds, dogs and wild animals were also found. The conclusion is drawn about the role of animal bones in the funeral rite. They could be used as a transport to the afterlife (horse bones), sacrificial food. Amulets from animal bones, dice are found in a small amount.
