To the question of the use of horse bridle by the Irmen population

This article is devoted to the study of the use of horse bridle by the population of the Irmen cultural and historical community of the forest steppe part of Western Siberia. This community was formed on the Andronian basis and was based on a producing cattle farm. Horse bridle was an important condition for such farming. Soft horse bridle with bone psalia were used to control the horse. The article deals with attempts in literature to classify Irmen psalias, starting with the known classification of psalias of the Volga-Ural steppes, developed by K.F. Smyrnov in the early 1960s. The views of various specialists (V.I. Matushchenko, N.L. Chlenova, A.V. Matveev, etc.), on the chronology of psalias are considered. The article also contains all known cases of the presence of elements of the horse state in the monuments of the Irmen cultural and historical community.
