2. Programming using CUDA

Lecturer: Dr. Oliver Mangold, Stuttgart High Performance Computing Center (HLRS)

3. Message Passing Architectures and MPI Programming

Lecturer: Dr. Thomas Bönisch, Stuttgart High Performance Computing Center (HLRS)

4. The Distributed and Unified Numerics Environment: a Toolbox for Numerical Solution of Partial Differential Equations on Computational Grids

Lecturers: Dr. Robert Klöfkorn and Slavko Brdar, Institute of Applied Mathematics, University of Freiburg (HLRS)

5. Individual Research Project

During the school an amount of time will be allocated for work on individual projects in the field of high performance computing. Lectureres and research staff from the Institute of Computational Technologies will provide advice and support. Group projects are also possible. We encourage participants to choose projects that they will continue working on after the end of the school.

Participants are invited to provide proposals for their projects during the registration or choose from a list of projects suggested by the lecturers. Applications will be evaluated on the merits of the submited proposals.
