Study of convergence of the Monte Carlo algorithms for reconstruction of the scattering matrix

The problem of reconstruction of the aerosol scattering matrix components by the ground observations of the polarized radiation is considered. The iterative algoritms based on statistical modelling were proposed for solving this problem. In these algorithms the unknown values of aerosol matrix components are successively refined by extraction of the contribution of single-scattered radiation in observed Stokes vector of multiple-scattered radiation.

In this work the convergence of proposed methods is studied.The reported study was partially funded by RFBR according to the research projects (17-01-00823, 18-01-00356,18-31-00213).
